JOB DESCRIPTION
The Delivery Driver drives company vehicles to transport products from our plant in Brockton, MA to our Satellite offices in Connecticut. Most importantly and without exception, the Driver operates within the legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times.
Will be driving a NON CDL vehicle for the most part, but fill as needed for Class A CDL driver for runs from Brockton MA to Windsor CT.
Need someone who does not need training and can shift!
COMPENSATION: UP TO 1200.00 WEEKLY DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Be able to load and unload, all hands on freight; hangers, laundry hampers on wheels.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of driving experience, an unrestricted Class A CDL and a clean driving record. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, are reliable and have good communication skills.
This shift starts at 11:30 AM Monday through Friday.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensures safe and on-time delivery of products to our satellite branches using company vehicles and following all company procedures and standards
· Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
· Maintains cleanliness of vehicles and ensures proper working condition
· Obeys posted speed limits at all times and all other rules of the road
· Completes any reports or logs
· Performs other duties as assigned
· Drive shuttle on a daily round trip
· Load and unload truck
· Pick up and deliver intra-company paperwork
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must be at least 21 years old
· High school diploma or GED required
· Five years of experience preferred
· Class A CDL
· Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
· Basic mechanical skills to perform regular vehicle inspections
· Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
· Excellent communication, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
· Highly professional and dependable
· Safety oriented
· Must be capable of lifting 50 to 75 lbs frequently
· Must be capable of pushing and pulling linen bins weighing up to 200 lbs
